This first Monday of each month will be alive and hopping with art classes and art events at the Soo Theatre. Offered in our downtown studio space at the theatre, local artist and beloved instructor Randy Krause will begin offering an evening of art on the first Monday of each month starting on February 6.
Well-known for her Arty Parties at the Soo Theatre, Krause will be offering courses and workshops on February 6, March 6, April 3, and May 1. All art events will begin at 7pm.
The selected painting or activity for each class will be published on the Soo Theatre website and on our facebook events page. The first class painting will be featured soon. Stay tuned for more details about ART on the first Monday of the month at Soo Theatre.
MUSIC TOGETHER is in now session on Thursdays at 10am and new registrations are still being taken. Immerse yourself in the enjoyment of music and expression with your child ages 0-5. Caretaker and child participate together in this nationally acclaimed program taught by instructor Sarah Gartshore. Gartshore’s passion for teaching early childhood music came directly from her desire to expose her own children to the enjoyment and experience of music in a dynamic and engaging group setting.
In addition to teaching Music Together for the Soo Theatre, Gartshore maintains a private voice studio at the Algoma Conservatory of Music as well as maintaining a professional career as an operatic soprano. In late February, Gartshore will be the featured soloist with our local Sault Symphony Orchestra. She will also return to adjudicate the Eastern Upper Peninsula Festival of Voice on March 15 that will be held at Lake Superior State University.
