The Soo Theatre Project offers a variety of camps throughout the summer from toddlers to adults and this week is no exception! Over 20 singers are taking part in this year’s Vocal and Opera Workshop.

The workshop is led by Jon and Beth Truitt, both of the University of Evansville with assistance from the Soo Theatre’s resident artist Karen Hughes Beacom.

Toronto Tenor Eric Shaw will also lend a helping hand in developing the voices of this group. 

Students of the camp will work throughout the week with these talented professionals in a master class setting. They will present their work to the public in a Vocal Gala this Friday, August 10 at 5pm. Admission is by donation. 

In addition to working diligently on their own music, they will sing the chorus the theatre’s upcoming production of La Bohème in Italian on August 17 at 7:30pm and 19 at 2pm.
