SOO FILM FESTIVAL

Soo Film Festival has announced the line-up for the 2016 festival, to be held September 16-18 in downtown Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan at the historic Soo Theatre.

This year’s festival again includes narrative and documentary features, music videos, animation, and short films with an emphasis on Great Lakes films and filmmakers.

Entry was open worldwide and the festival programming will feature international submissions from 19 countries.

Festival president Taylor Brugman: “This is going to be a great year for the festival. The talent and hard work we have seen in these submissions is fantastic. We are excited to share them with everyone.”

A full list of the movies and a tentative schedule are available on the festival website, soofilmfestival.org. Other events and guests will be announced soon.

Tickets will go on sale on Thursday, Sept. 1.  At that time, tickets can be purchased online at soofilmfestival.org, or in person at the Soo Theatre office located at 534 Ashmun Street.

Ticket prices are $7 General Admission (per block), $5 Seniors and Students (per block); $20 Daily Pass (admission to all blocks on a single day); $50 Festival Pass (admission to all films and shorts programs, all days).
