2026 – Scenes from UP North Upper Peninsula Orchestra Suite

Guest artists include Dr. Barbara Rhyneer, Dr. Martin Reinhardt, Tim DeMarte, Members of the NMU Choir and Orchestra.

 

Dr. Rhyneer composed/arranged the Upper Peninsula Orchestra Suite to be “a music portrait that both represented the Upper Peninsula, and that was collaborative, specifically using the melodies and imagination of individuals in each of the seven areas of the U.P. with string programs.” She has written one movement for each of the seven areas as noted in the title below. Also featured on this concert will be Cloverland, written by Rhyneer’s husband, Tim DeMarte.
