Summer-like weather has definitely found our area of the world – another reason to celebrate the summer season schedule of camps, lessons, performances, and events already underway at The Soo Theatre Project!
Next weekend is the Grease 50’s Weekend at The Soo Theatre Project with an extra twist. Not only is the movie “Grease” going to be shown, but “Purple Rain” as well! Clear May 20, 21, 22 on your calendar to join in the fun of seeing these two fantastic movies. Popcorn and refreshments will be served to complete the experience for you. Times to be announced.
Not just one, but two barbershop groups will be entertaining us again this June 4 at 7 pm for a one night only performance. Northland Barbershop Chorus, a men’s group with members from both sides of the river, will perform their show called “Laughter and Love Songs.” Lock Cities Chorus, a women’s group with members from both sides of the river, will perform their show called “Harmony House.”
The cast of Music Man has been selected! This 1957 award winning musical will be performed on The Soo Theatre Project stage July 14, 15, 16, and 17. When a con-artist descends upon a town posing as a band leader, he plans to sell community members instruments and leave with the money. Before he can make his getaway, he falls in love with the librarian and the town is transformed by music.
