The Soo Theatre Project is dedicated to bringing its communities the complete arts: painting, singing, instruments, dancing, theatre, and so much more. STP does this in two ways: through teaching and through performing. Performing is all a part of the theatre’s mission to provide arts and entertainment to our community. It’s also the culmination of teaching students, gathering of local, national, and international talent, and assembling area leaders.
The teaching branch of the theatre is known as the STARS program. STARS provides classes that are held all year long at the Soo Theatre Arts Resource Studios with amazingly talented teachers who really care about their students.
Much, much work (and love!) goes into preparing these summer season for you. It is with absolute theatre joy that many people donate their time and effort to ensure there’s an entertaining and pleasurable lineup of shows for you.
MUSIC MAN AUDITIONS will be held April 23, 24 at The Soo Theatre Project. See STP’s Facebook page for details. Callbacks are scheduled for April 30. Director, Anthony Aceti from Soo, Canada will be hearing auditions along with Artistic Director, Karen Hughes Beacom and Soo Theatre veteran Hollyann Beck. Beck will choreograph and assist on the show. Alan Jacobus, band director of the award winning Les Cheneaux Community Schools, will conduct.
It’s here! And it’s gonna be the best summer season of entertainment yet!
