STP Annual Holiday Tour of Homes!

Program for Holiday Tour of Homes 2014“Joy to the world!” you hear often these days followed by, “Jingle Bells Jingle Bells.” Then comes, “Deck the halls!” And that is just what five wonderful homeowners have done for you. They’ve decked their halls so that you will enjoy viewing their homes for a traditional Sault Sainte Marie holiday event – The Soo Theatre Project’s Holiday Tour of Homes!

It’s happening next Sunday, December 14 from 1-5 pm. With the help of Coed Flowers and Gifts and Petals on Ashmun supplying red, white, and green floral arrangements, these homes will be ready to add to your holiday experience.

The following homeowners have prepared their residences for the 2014 Holiday Tour of Homes: Caroline Behling of 1836 South Monocle Lake Drive, Christine and Steven Kois of 1804 South Monocle Lake Drive, Danny Sarns and Jeremy Ripley of 813 Young Street, Theresa and Brent Kallstrom of 325 East Spruce Street, and Tina and Ryan Kilzmiller of 7799 South Mackinac Trail.

Every day this week The Soo Evening News will publish one house article. Look for and read the descriptions of these magnificent homes starting tomorrow, Monday, December 8 to this Friday, December 12.

Each home is unique with individual characteristics that’ll make you go, “Ohhhhhh!” and, “Ahhhhhhh!” with every turn, room, and view.

After perusing the five gorgeous homes, enjoy the stylish holiday tea reception at The History of River Museum on Ashmun Street. Not only will there be holiday sweets such as cookies, but also entertainment by the flute choir, vocalists, and other musicians. You can also enjoy a free tour of the museum as well as a silent auction and drawings for door prizes.

The Ojibwe Learning Center and Library, which “offers patrons a variety of resources to increase their knowledge of Anishinaabe Bimaadiziwin (Native way of life),” will also be open to Holiday Home Tour ticket holders during the tea, too!

This traditional event in The Soo for 25 years brings holiday blessings and lots of good cheer to those who attend. Get your tickets this week at the Soo Theatre Project office or at The Mole Hole.

Please note: the STP Donation Christmas Tree is available again this year in the front Ashmun Street office! Donations for such items as cleaning supplies, coloring books, copy paper, coffee, and so forth are so appreciated.
