Fancy That!

Fancy That!

Soo Theatre Project is excited to present Fancy That featuring the talents of Sara Swain, Lise White, and  Ellen VanLaar with special musical guests Judy Hill and Dave Morrison.

Fancy That’s theme came together after Lise was asked to produce and perform in a concert highlighting French Canadian music. This performance was showcased during the spring for one of the many 350th anniversary celebrations put on throughout the 2018 year in our community. This particular concert featured a slide presentation giving the audience an opportunity to participate. The concert was such a hit, Lise was asked to put on another performance adding a bit more emphasis on their audience participation portion. Colleen Arbic, Soo Theatre board president, then suggested Lise add English songs along with her French songs to give an even broader range of audience inclusion.

Lise used a similar format to the Community Sing from the Wheatland Music Festival incorporating a folk approach, encouraging audience participation. The event would lend itself to an intergenerational experience, appealing to a range of musical genres and tastes.

Fancy That is an evening of traditional, fun and memorable music made for the whole family.

Saturday, October 13 at 7:00pm. General admission is $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for students, and free to currently enrolled STARS students.
